This pan has the superfluous capacity PLUS has cooling tubes in the underneath of pan to help with cooling, Has Drain plug and a threaded bung for adding a transmission temperature sensor, so you can keep an eye on your transmission temp..!!!

The Derale pan is an awesome product and has dropped temperatures in this vicinity 5 degrees. I release deny lone star since I'm not guaranteed if the pan is value a 5 top variation in do temporary bring about drop and the pan is made out of really thin clarification. I formerly had a TCI pan which was water supply-built and handled go jacked up with the trans jack lacking bowing or warping. The Derale pan bows in and after the trans has been removed twice pro service and upgrades, the pan currently has a permanent dip in the focal top.

I bought this pan for a 1997 GMC Housing K1500. I towed a 6000lb 26' travel trailer from VA coastline to Martinsville, VA and until the mountains, it reserved the transmission fluid under 200 degrees. Some time ago in the mountains obviously we encountered large hills at low speed which doesn't allocate for genteel air flow owing to the cooling tubes and the temp climbed to 250-275. I would be inflicted including preferred it to be a bit deeper as the cooling tubes take up a lot of opportunity in the pan so you actually can only add one extra quart of fluid and you can't change to the optional "profound" transmission filter. Skilled job at a skilled price and I was all-around pleased including the purchase. I was pleased ample to buy a second one for my additional Housing. One additional main topic of note is it is worth count this to your vehicle just simply for the drain plug that GM didn't look to reflect was necessary. Certainly makes future fluid and filter changes much easier and certainly a reduced amount of messy! The newer models also offer a temp gauge haven which I didn't get on the first one.

This transmission pan had a perfect all fit on my 97 K1500. Some calculate ago installed I noticed trans temps in succession alot cooler and cools off nearer including heating up even as town driving

Derale has been making feature transmission cooling pans for over 25 years, this new 700R4/4L60E pan has been redesigned to fit more applications then previous designs. We also added a much stronger magnetic drain plug and rubber/steel reusable washer and an 1/8 inch NPT love sender bung located in the side of the pan. To top it off it will be refined with a lasting black two stage glaze. Kit comes complete with neoprene gasket, magnetic drain plug, and 1/8 inch NPT love sender plug.
