Purchased to exchange the filter in my Jeep, upon inspection, my Jeep did not even have a filter! just a fake grate. I was more than happy to rip off the fake grate and put in a nice cabin air filter to bestow unfiltered air from inflowing my vehicle.Word of caution, when removing your old fake cover, be austere not to break off the fake pins, they will fall into your circulating fan and are a pain to take out. This was of way not in the directions.....

I didn't understand why there wasn't a filter system on this car. Any 4x4 vehicle must have one to avoid dirt clogging up internal parts of your heating and A/C. I also take it out once a month to clean it off. You can also let the bottom of it sit in a fragrance (allow it to dry, then reinsert)
