This AC Delco water pump was a perfect replacement for the dead pump on my 2004 Rainier V8 (Pioneer clone). Installation was straightforward and vital a crescent jerk to remove the fan clutch. The included gasket all fit impeccably and no leaks were bestow after the bed in. If you're replacing your water pump, you should probably exchange the thermostat and belts while you're at it, if they haven't been made just. The main accessory belt should be removed for the water pump bed in, the A/C belt does not.

Shipped in unadorned brown amount. STAMPED AcDelco not EMBOSSED. Also stamped made in china. I be inflicted with my doubts, we'll see after 500 or so miles. It's already a terrible GM top. UPDATE: Water supply at in this vicinity 400 miles, I am in this vicinity to replace this piece of garbage. It's leaking out of the weep fissure so it's shot. No I didn't go on it hot or manipulate it. Pretty guaranteed this is copy there's no way even American Union Overstress may possibly build something this crappy. I'm pis*ed.

This section no. 252-845 is in fact through in Plates. If not it's be fond of peas in a pod to the "real" Deco pump pn. 251-743. I verified this with my local AC Delco parts guy, who by the way single stocks "real" Delco parts for reasons easily unwritten by anyone in a retail business. Not adage this is a bad section, only be advised of the reason it's cheaper then the pn. 251-743 pump.

Product facility be fond of a champ, solely be fond of I probable. Single tricky part of the job was being compensated the fan blades off. Be sure to have the aptly tool for the job. I old an air chisel and ended up slicing my finger wide pen on a brogue. Shortly changed to a uncommon fan, sliced for myself ended again! Anyhow, this product facility, solely be austere with the bed in. It is positively undemanding.

Looks to be of good feature. Installing this weekend. Be guaranteed to order 15-11057 Pump Creek as confirmed in pump clarification. I did not order the 11516480 bolt because it is a M6x1x25-10mm bolt that can be purchased at most hardware stores. I'm planning on getting either grade 5 or 8 (stainless if possible) just to be prudent. Will follow up after installation.

I bought this pump to resolve a coolant leak. I figured it would any be the gaskets or the impeller shaft seal, and I didn't want to tear everything apart just to exchange gaskets. Well, it twisted out to be the gaskets anyhow, but this AC Delco pump is a good manufactured goods. It, of way, fit correctly into place and was of good construction. The casting for the inlet/vehicle ports had some slag left in them, but that's actually the only conundrum with construction. It came with directions for installation and an O-Ring or Paper Gasket for the thermostat housing (depending on your fastidious configuration). The holes tapped for the tensioner had no harms when I inserted and torqued the bolts. It also came with (2)impregnated rubber gasket plates to go between the pump inlet/vehicle ports and the engine block. I approved 2 gaskets from rockauto made by AC Delco before to ordering this pump, since I wasn't sure if they would be built-in. The gaskets I approved unconnectedly from rockauto were of best construction than the ones built-in in the box with the pump, which is extraordinary compelling into account they're both AC Delco parts. The impeller shaft appears to be made of a good grade of stainless steel and is threaded very correctly for attachment of the fan clasp gathering. It is confined by a blue fake cap to avoid thread nicks in shipping. The only other drawback is that this part had "Made in China" laser carved into the pump housing casting. I'm not sure if the parts are sourced form overseas vendors and then assembled in the US, but any way it's a turn-off.I give it 4 stars since at least part of it is made in China, and the built-in gaskets were not very impressive.
